Etsy treasury on the blog - useful tool (example: treasury Black on white by koticzka)
I have just tested a generator of a treasury for your website and it looks nicely. It generates a relatively simple html code ready to copy and paste.
Although I could potentially prepare a code like this myself having quite basic html skills (IT-handcrafting ha-ha!), it might be a little nuesome.
On the other hand I believe I'd make it simpler and more tidy.
No matter, the complexity on this level should not affect the speed of loading and should not create problems for any browser and - as far as I can see - this code should be also interpreted the same by various browsers so it should look the same in Internet Explorer, Chrome of Firefox etc.
Here is the generator:

And here is the generated older treasury of mine. I did not make many of them although I will try to squeeze it into my chaotic badly organised agenda...
Please note that the mnissing picture is not an error in the code - the shop is apparently gone and so is the picture :((

Freedom of creation
I neglected to note on this blog my main crafty event of recent days - but it is visible on the side. The hand-knitted bracelet, emroidered with beads and with handcrocheted daisy applications, finished on one side with short tassels. All this can be read in the description of this little gadget. Yet, whatever words I'd use, difficult to describe the silky luxurious softness of the ribbon it is made of and the lovely, friendly texture of wooden beads. Not to mention the whole process of creating it!
There is more to be revealed soon and all jewellery (1 more bracelet and a 4-piece set). This part is a bit less of fun at the moment as it takes ages to take photos and process them, clean and correct so they show the true colours.
This camera and Irish light at the hours when I have capacity to take some shots are not a good match whatsoever :( Taking photos might be a bit of fun but seeing the results is no praise at all. I used to play with some programmes, I did manipulations etc. I can choose colours, lights, contrast and decide which part I compromise.
I disagree with compromising pictures for my little gallery on etsy.com - koticzka's Cottage. I am ready putting lots of effort to reflect the true nature of my products and I stop only when I see that I reached my best. I learn as I go and sometimes I would go back and correct previous photos.
Another issue I need to manipulate taking photos is to present the products, which are sometimes slightly too big big for my petite-size hands (palms, wrists). Again - I am lucky to have one friend, which is ready to give me HER hands for some modelling :) One day we wil hopefully make it to synchronise all elements necessary for a photo-session with a pair of mittens, which, match her palms so much better. By the way, I do not spend much time comparing myself with models but, objectively speaking, my palms are not exactly the 5th Avenue Boutique look. They are OK but for the nice photo of his/her creations one would like to have the best. Right?
Recently I was wondering about the direction I would like to take. I rarely make strict plans in my creative process. It simply does not work. If I do not like the outcome, I lack the motivation to finish what I am doing and loose the enthusiasm. I am in the comfortable situation where I can decide about the final shape and I use this freedom a lot :) The joy always helps to keep the profile and the quality high - and the most important it also maintains a high level of satisfaction.
Last year I did not like my Xmas tree. I considered taking all decorations down and starting over but I run out of time before we departed to Poland. But I do not hesitate in case of knitware or crocheting. Probably this is why I fancy these crafts more than sawing, which is so much easier to sssssc... ehm, spoil it and so much more difficult to fix. Once you do not succeed, you can reap, you can go back.
Although, Slytherins say: once you did not succeed, hide all the proves that you ever tried!
With all the ideas running through my head with a lightning speed (or ab. neurons moving) perhaps I could choose slightly different direction than I initially thought off.
The one thing to stay for sure is the quality as high as the sky, as far as I can reach, then strecth further to a higher level and more. In the quality I am going to exceed and maintain the route. Thanks Merlin, I am not a heavy overgrown international corporate who needs to make cuts at any proce and I can give the respect to a potential customer and to myself and to the creativity - and thus to all other craft people and artists.
And not reaching the perfection I feel I owe you something else - my honesty :)
Nowadays, I feel tired and sleepy over the limits (I hardly deal with daylight saving time - and WHAT SAVINGS by the way?! - every year it takes me about 6 months to get used to it ;P) so everything is twice as slow... that I will finish some other time...
Yet, here some interesting by products from the photosessions for my little gallery on etsy.com - koticzka's Cottage.
